Would you love to really know how to paint? So many people tell me they would but haven’t had the opportunity or the courage to start! So if you’re one of those people nows your chance!
This Beginners 3 Day Adventure into Art Course, will give you all you need to set off on your artistic journey. You will discover the basic structure as well as the freedom of expressing yourself through art
We kick off the course with a pretty Seascape Painting in acrylic. I will show you a simple method of painting which is an easy to follow series of steps from start to finish. It will give you a very clear foundation and fundamental principles to follow and easily implement in your future paintings
Is all about loosening up and getting past the thinking/evaluating zone and into the creative spontaneous one, where you can be freely expressive. Ditch the inhibitions, relax, and have fun playing with paint!
We will visit the CAC Picasso Museum and then it’s time for you to put your own spin on the last 2 days! It’s your day of adventure! Experimenting with the techniques you will have learned you are free to choose what you would like to paint.
This course will give you the tools to get un-stuck by focusing on process, working in multiples, and having more fun. You will then be able to apply both the structure and playful approach to your own art, whether it be a landscape, seascape, abstract or a combination of all! With new insights and confidence, you leave inspired to take your painting to the next level.
For most beginners and intermediate artists, the problem is…
Figuring out what to do and how to do it to achieve a painting you feel good about, this is almost impossible for beginners.
There are too many unanswered questions for beginners.
• What Medium to use? Oils, Pencils, Acrylics, Watercolour, and what’s the difference?
• Which Colours to use and how to mix them to get the colour you want?
• How does composition work?
• How to get different tones and values?
• What brushes do you use and when do you use them, what effect do they have?
• And what do you paint on? Canvas, Panels or Paper?
• What are mediums, glazes and solvents and do you need them?
• And what on earth will you paint?
No wonder beginners quickly become confused and overwhelmed and often times give up altogether
What I’ve observed the most is the beginner to intermediate artists were over complicating the painting process, hoping it will turn out alright and if not they weren’t enjoying it and not getting satisfactory results.
So this course is all about simplifying everything, making it easy so you can get great results and leave with paintings you are proud of. I take you step by step to complete the paintings, both the seascape and the abstract, breaking it down in easy to follow steps.
On Day#1 the Seascape, we will be using a 3 step method
● 3 Colours ● 3 Brushes ● 3 Materials
By using this method and reducing the number of colours and brushes and showing you how to use them, you will get great results, feel less confused and much more confident and happy with your paintings, knowing exactly how you achieved it!
On Day #2 We will look at different and interesting ways to use acrylics to create wonderful effects and fascinating dimensions to your painting. Acrylics really give us the ability to explore their potential and possibilities; you will be amazed at what you can create.
On Day #3 You get the opportunity to experiment for yourself by putting into practice, with guidance, all the things you’ve learned. This is a great way to really discover your hidden artist! I’m always amazed and thrilled when I see students take that leap into creating something unique to them.
This course is designed so each person can really enjoy the process of creating art with confidence, knowing what to do and how to do it.
Come and see for yourself and I guarantee you will surprise yourself!
